Happy Veterans Day

Happy Veterans Day!

st-james-plantation-wishes-all-of-our-service-men-a-happy-veterans-day-we-thank-you-for-your-service

Dear Clients, Friends and Families of Pence Wealth Management,

The eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month, was the appointed moment for the guns of “The War to End all Wars” to fall silent.  World War I still shapes our world and it failed in its pledge to be our last war, but on this day our nation honors its millions of veterans who have never failed our nation in their pledge of duty, honor, and country.

The strength of our nation lies in the hearts of those who now volunteer to pledge their lives to serve. Today less than half of 1 percent of our population serve in uniform yet their service secure the blessings of liberty for us all.

Most importantly, this is a long line. Many of our friends and clients have served or have family members who have served.  I know far too well that the statement “when one member of the family serves, we all do” is true.

So to each of you who have served or love someone who has, thank you so very much. Your dedication and sacrifice is the soul of our nation.

Respectfully,

Col E. Dryden Pence III (ret)

“Salute to the Troops”

Jim Cramer’s Interview with Starbucks CEO Schultz

We should not be acknowledging veterans who have served the country only on Veterans Day, we should be doing it every single day.

No Veteran Should Eat Alone on Their Day of Honor

The American Holiday, Veteran’s day, was derived from the internationally recognized Holiday Armistice Day. Armistice Day is celebrated worldwide, November 11, as a gesture to all Veterans.

In the United States, we celebrate Veteran’s day with Parades, barbecues and military ceremonies at national Veteran’s cemeteries.

On this holiday, thousands of restaurants will open their doors and offer free meals and discounts to our military men and women who have served or are still serving. This is a tribute to you, our American military.

Below is a link to a list of national restaurants that will be showing their support of our armed services.

Tears are in my eyes as I read this amazing list of Veterans and their families! My son Gregory is a veteran of Desert Storm. He served in the USS Newport News fast attack nuclear submarine. I am so proud of him! I am so proud to be connected in some way to the Veterans of PWM! God bless America and all the brave men who have served her !!!
